Transworld Steel DTP: QR Code–Based Document Access Technology

Since Transworld Steel (TAWD) officially launched the DTP (Digital Traceability Passport) system in June 2020, it has been widely adopted and highly recognized across the pharmaceutical, food, chemical, and natural gas industries.
Michael Huang, the creator of the valve Digital Traceability Passport, integrated over 30 years of industry experience—combining customer requirements, regulatory expectations, and digitalization insights—to develop today’s DTP system. This innovation fundamentally transformed the traditional process in which valve distributors and engineers had to manually verify documents one by one or spend significant time exchanging emails just to obtain a valve’s 3.1 material certificate.
With DTP, users simply scan a QR Code using a smartphone or tablet to instantly access the valve’s 3.1 and 2.2 material certificates. This minimizes the risk of document misuse and significantly enhances operational safety by ensuring that pipeline equipment is used correctly and reliably.
This breakthrough technology streamlines document access and elevates traceability throughout the valve’s full lifecycle. With critical information readily available, equipment management becomes more transparent and safer than ever.
